MHE Trainer - National (1233)
We are recruiting a new role within our business, an experienced MHE Trainer to train and build an improved MHE driving culture across our warehouse network. In this role you will be required to take responsibility for the development of knowledge, skills and behaviours of new and existing warehouse colleagues to perform his/her job effectively and efficiently in the workplace.
You will be delivering both group and individual training that meets legislation requirements, company standards, operational needs, and customer expectations, along with producing, creating, and maintaining documentation and records relevant to ensure legislative requirements are met.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Delivering MHE and SSOW training that ensures all colleagues are competent and certified ensuring compliance with H&S policies, procedures, and legislation requirements. · Providing additional training/retraining and support to colleagues who are struggling to reach performance targets, KPI's and SLA's or have been involved in an incident. · Refresher training being completed in line with renewal dates and alerting Line Management and colleagues when this is due. · Reduce MHE repair costs (avoidable damage) by monitoring and working with the site management teams to improve MHE driving behaviours. |
· Cross training being planned and delivered in line with operational needs to fulfil multi skilling plans. · Support with delivering New Starter inductions and conducting site tours as part of the onboarding process where necessary. · Support completion of accident investigations where MHE has been involved. · Documentation and records relevant to training being maintained and completed to ensure legislative requirements are met. This includes SSOW 's, training matrices and training plans. · Maintaining registers of attendance and issuing certificates where applicable · Creating, updating and/or preparing training materials, packs, venues/rooms, and equipment as required · Providing administrative support to the health & safety, facilities, and training supervisor including producing weekly training updates and data to demonstrate completion of training plans and requests, managing the Training Email in box, and attending relevant meetings. · Monitoring audit compliance undertaking random and regular spot checks on operational colleagues, flagging risks and training needs to Health & safety, facilities, and training supervisor. |
Skills and Experience
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. · RTITB accreditation or equivalent · Strong visual awareness (hazard spotting skills) · Coaching and mentoring skills · The ability to drive a strong safety culture from the ground up, inspiring and motivating the team to continually strive for continuous improvement. · Managing training matrices / records · Onboarding processes · Proficient with Microsoft office I.T. and Outlook particularly excel spreadsheets and power point. · Investigations skills including CCTV system use. · Organising rotas / schedules / meetings |
