Sustainability Lead (1501)
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Sustainability Lead to support, drive and report on sustainability performance and targets across our 2-person home delivery network. This role will be central to delivering our sustainability strategy, supporting operational teams, and ensuring accurate reporting against key sustainability KPIs.
The Sustainability Lead will work closely with depot teams, recycling partners, and clients to improve waste and recycling performance, consolidate data into meaningful insights, and communicate sustainability progress both internally and externally with our clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sustainability Strategy & Targets
- Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the company's sustainability strategy and targets
- Track and report progress against key sustainability KPIs, including waste, recycling, and environmental performance
- Identify opportunities to improve sustainability performance across operations and depots and support on initiatives such as EV implementation
- Work closely with recycling and waste management partners to collect, validate, and review monthly performance data
- Drive waste reduction and recycling initiatives across all depots and identify carbon and waste reduction opportunities
- Support depot-level implementation of sustainability initiatives and best practices
Depot Engagement
- Travel to company depots to support and drive sustainability performance
- Work collaboratively with depot sustainability champions to improve local waste and recycling outcomes
Data, Reporting & KPIs
- Collect, analyse, and consolidate sustainability data from multiple recycling and waste partners
- Produce clear monthly sustainability reports to track KPI performance
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and transparency across all reporting
Client Sustainability Reporting & Presentations
- Create client-facing sustainability packs detailing performance, achievements, and progress against targets
- Prepare clear and engaging sustainability insights tailored to client requirements
- Support client meetings and quarterly reviews
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in sustainability, environmental analysis, or waste and recycling management
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills, with the ability to turn data into clear insights
- Confident communicator, comfortable presenting to internal teams and external clients
- Strong stakeholder management skills
Desirable
- Experience within 2 person home delivery or logistics and operational environments
- Knowledge of UK waste and recycling regulations
- Experience working with recycling partners or environmental service providers
